Welcome to Vertirex. I’m Dmitriy, though most people call me Dima. I’m a retired U.S. Army veteran, climber, and outdoor enthusiast based in Colorado.
After retiring from military service, I’m building a new chapter around climbing, adventure, and sharing time outside. Vertirex is a place to document that journey.
Rock climbing, ice climbing, and alpine outings will be at the heart of this Journal. I’ll share experiences from the mountains, reflections on equipment, and lessons I’m learning along the way. There will also be room for hiking, running, camping, and the everyday preparation that makes those outings possible.
I want these stories to be useful and honest, including the challenges, changing plans, and small improvements that are part of spending time outdoors.
Alongside the Journal, I’m developing a climbing logbook app under the Vertirex name. The goal is straightforward: make it easy to record climbs and outings, preserve the details that matter, and look back on experience over time. I’m starting with the essentials and building from there.
Vertirex will grow as this next chapter takes shape. For now, it begins with sharing experiences, building useful tools, and getting outside.
Thanks for being here. I look forward to sharing the journey.
